Venus
The mound that forms the ball at the base of the thumb is ruled by Venus.

Mythology

In Christianity the peacock represents the “all-seeing” church and the holiness & sanctity associated with it. Additionally, the peacock represents resurrection, renewal and immortality within the spiritual teachings of Christianity.
In Hinduism the peacock is associated with Lakshmi who is a deity representing benevolence, patience, kindness, compassion and luck.
Similar to Lakshmi, the peacock is associated with Kwan-yin in Japan – she is also an emblem of love, compassionate watchfulness, good-will, nurturing, and kind-heartedness. Kwan-yin chose to remain a mortal even though she could be immortal because she wished to stay behind and aid humanity in their spiritual evolution.
In Babylonia and Persia the peacock is seen as a guardian to royalty, and is often seen in engravings upon the thrones of royalty.

Hindu Goddess Parvati – LOVE
The Story of Parvati After the death of Shiva‘s first love Sati, Shiva isolated himself into a dark cave buried amongst the snow covered peaks of the Himalayas. He rejected the world outside so distraught was he by the lose of his first true love.
Meanwhile the demons lead by Taraka, rose from the netherworld and drove the devas, gods, out of the heavens. The gods sought a warrior who would help them regain the celestial realm.
“Only Shiva can father such a warrior,” informed Brahma.
But Shiva, immersed in meditation, was oblivious to the problems of the gods. As he performed tapas, meditations that produce great heat and energy, his mind was filled with great knowledge and his body became resplendent with energy. But all this knowledge and energy, bottled within his being, was of not use to anyone.
Birth of Parvati
The gods invoked the mother-goddess, who appeared before them as Kundalini, a coiled serpent. “I will coil myself around Shiva, wean out his knowledge and energy for the good of the world and make him father a child,” said Shakti. Shakti took birth as Parvati, daughter of the Himavan, lord of the mountains, determined to draw Shiva out of his cave and make him her consort.

One the rarest gems in the world has has been snapped up by a British jeweller for a record-breaking sum of almost £4million.
One of the rarest gems in the world, a flawless blue diamond, has sold for £4 million at a Sotheby’s auction in Hong Kong.
This makes it the most expensive gemstone in the world, per carat, sold at auction.
After intense bidding, the 6.04 carat, internally flawless blue diamond fetched £650,000 per carat.
The price smashed a 20-year-old record held by the Hancock Red – a red diamond which fetched £450,000 per carat at the time, Sotheby’s said.

One of the rarest gems in the world, a flawless blue diamond, has sold for £4 million at a Sotheby’s auction in Hong Kong
The buyer was Moussaieff Jewellers in London, which has a reputation for acquiring extremely rare and costly gemstones.
The seller was a private Asian collector.
Blue diamonds have long captivated the rich and powerful – shimmering with a certain dark mystique.
The famous Hope Diamond, a 45.52 carat grey-blue beauty, was passed down through the ages by King Louis XIV of France, Marie Antoinette and American heiress Evalyn Walsh McClean among others.
It now rests in the Smithsonian Institute in Washington D.C.
The Sultan of Brunei reportedly bought another massive “blue” which surfaced briefly in the 1980s.
While not a large stone, the Sotheby’s diamond has an esteemed cut and “fancy vivid blue” hue, factors which contributed to its blockbuster price – roughly ten times the per-carat price of regular white diamonds.
The blue hue is a result of trace amounts of boron in the stone’s crystal structure.
Other coloured diamonds with pink and red hues can be mined in multiple locations across the globe including Brazil, India and Australia, but “blues” are mostly found at just one site – the Premier Mine in South Africa.

A stellar lineup of actresses could be seen on the red carpet at the Golden Globes 2012, but there was quite the parade of jewels as well. These were indispensable accessories for the evening gowns worn by the most famous ladies in Hollywood.
