The Root Chakra influences your physical vitality, physical survival instincts, “fight or flight” response.
Emotions of anger, jealousy, desire and greed.
The Muladhara or Root Chakra governs the lessons of surviving the material world.
This Chakra holds information involving family loyalty, superstitions and beliefs, and your ability to stand up for yourself; your sense of safety, self esteem, and security are based here.
The Root Chakra controls the energy of instincts, physical pain, pleasure, and touch.
Imbalance in the Muladhara may manifest as losing interest in survival in the “real world”, physical addictions and obsessions, selfishness, restlessness, volatile emotions and a lack of vitality.
The “Muladhara” is situated at the root of the spine.
It is the Chakra closest to the Earth, and can be used to ground yourself to Mother Earth, and “release” all that negativity, and recharge yourself!
It is the source of the Etheric layer of the aura, which is associated with awareness of the physical body, and physical survival.
It is the layer closest to the body, and densest in texture. It can sometimes be seen as a sort of grayish “heat wave” 2-3 inches around the body.
It anchors the aura to the physical body.
Gemstones such as bloodstone, hematite, labodorite, garnet, ruby, black tourmaline, onyx, fire agate, star ruby smoky quartz, and red jasper are helpful in Root Chakra balancing.
Essential oils and flower essences useful for Root Chakra balance are rosemary, ylang-ylang, frankincense, myrrh, benzoin, patchouli, sandalwood, corn and clematis.
Foods that fuel and foster the Root Chakra are root vegetables like potatoes, carrots, onions, garlic, parsnips, radishes, beets, and protein rich foods such as meat, eggs, beans, peanut butter, tofu and soy products, and hot spices such cayenne, and pepper, horseradish, hot paprika, and chives.
What is your Chakra Nature?
The Vedas are the oldest written tradition in India, (1,500 – 500 B.C.) recorded from oral tradition by upper caste Brahmins.
Descended from the Aryan stock which entered India from the north.
The original meaning of the word chakra as “wheel” refers to the chariot wheels of the rulers, called cakravartins.
The word was also a metaphor for the sun, which “traverses the world like the triumphant chariot of a cakravartin and denotes the eternal wheel of time called the kalacakra which represents celestial order and balance.
Chakras are our 7 points trough out our body in which our energy flows.
When these points are blocked in can stop the even flow through out them, causing illness, Diss-Ease (disease) and other problems.
An imbalance in the chakras can also cause all sorts of emotional, psychic and physical problems.
Balancing our Chakras can help us harmonise our energies and mental state.
Each Chakra has a colour and semiprecious stone to help you with your balance.
Over the coming days we will place an in depth blog covering all the Chakras.
Take this great CHAKRA TEST in the mean time to find out your colours.

PEACE SIGN ORIGIN AND HISTORY
Have you ever wondered where the peace symbol came from?
Throughout history the peace symbol was not always used in the spirit of love and service to humanity.
For this reason, the Teach Peace Foundation logo is not a traditional peace symbol but people around the world holding hands.
A popular explanation of the peace symbol is that Gerald Herbert Holtom (1914 – 1985) created this symbol on February 21, 1958.1
Holtom was a dedicated peacemaker and graduate of the Royal College of Arts.
During World War II he worked on a farm in England as a conscientious objector.
The BBC quoted Holtom, “I drew myself: the representative of an individual in despair, with hands palm outstretched outwards and downwards in the manner of Goya’s peasant before the firing squad.
Around this symbol of Peace we created our Peace & Love collection.
With a selection of gorgeous necklaces and stacking bracelets in multicolours to bring Peace, Love and Happiness.
For the perfect arm candy stack up a selection of bright colours for a great Boho Chic look!
